Home/Insurance claims
We take the hardship out of insurance claims
In Alberta you choose the shop, not the insurer. Over ten years of autobody and insurance work. We speak to the adjuster so you do not have to.
Three steps, and we do most of them
You make one phone call to your insurer. After that the paperwork, the estimate, the supplements and the adjuster are ours to deal with.
Open a claim with your insurer
Give them our name and address: Teddy Auto Services, 12213 67 St NW, Edmonton. You are entitled to name the shop; if you are told otherwise, tell us and we will sort it out.
Bring it in for the estimate
We write the estimate with you there, then our courtesy vehicle drives you home so you are not left waiting at the shop. The estimate goes to your insurer the same way every time.
We take care of the rest
Frame, panels, paint and the alignment at the end all happen here. We call with progress and walk around the vehicle with you at pick up.
Frame machine
Pulls the structure back into line before panels go on.
Paint booth
Sealed booth for a clean, dust free, colour matched finish.
Alignment machine
Back to factory specs so tires wear evenly afterwards.
Courtesy vehicle
We drive you home after you drop off, and pick you up when the work is done.
Your claim, your shop
Insurers keep lists of preferred shops. A list is a suggestion, not a rule. The vehicle is yours and the choice of who repairs it is yours, whether the claim is yours or the other driver's.
Bring us the claim number and we take it from there. If the adjuster wants more information part way through the repair, that conversation happens between us and them.
What to have handy
Paying out of pocket
Sometimes the repair costs less than the deductible, or you would rather not put a claim on your policy at all. Say so and we will quote it as a straight repair.
Estimates are free either way, and nothing gets repaired until you have said yes to the price.
Start the repair
Call us with the claim number, or book a time to bring the vehicle in for the estimate. We will tell you what the repair involves and roughly how long you will be without it.
